Voles, Moles and Others that Make Holes

Moles & mountain beavers are omnivores and tunnel deep.
Voles are vegetarians and tunnel shallow.

-Dogs & Cats curtail these pests
-Keep your garden weeded, -don't plant woody ground covers like junipers where they can hide.
-Keep your lawn mowed

-Vole gnawing can cause damage to trees and shrubs.

-Don't apply mulch too close to trees and shrubs

Plant these repellants:
-Castor bean plants
-"Mole" plants
-Marigolds

Try removong the mound of soil over the mole hole, that way cats, dogs and predator birds can see (get) the pest!
